ABOUT THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY OF KNOWLEDGE AND PRACTICE FOR A SUSTAINABLE COCOA
About us
The Global Community of Knowledge and Practice for a Sustainable Cocoa was born in 2020 in the context of the Cocoa & Forest: Knowledge Exchange Program between cocoa producing countries of Latin America and Africa and implemented by the Forest Carbon Partnership of the World Bank, Alisos and Kinomé.
The Global Community is an alliance of partners from different sectors private, public, international cooperation, civil society and academia convinced of the power of dialogue and knowledge exchange as a means to contribute to a common vision of sustainable cocoa. Our goal is to share relevant content, support and appropriate good practices for a deforestation free cocoa production and a more transparent and traceable value chain that promotes a decent living income for farmers and the abolition of child labour.
Our participating countries are Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Ivory Coast, Ghana.
