Each core group presented the African and Latin American cocoa context respectively, by identifying successes, challenges and needs. The goal of this session was to understand the realities of sustainable cocoa in each country, region, and the international context.

In line with the needs of the core group participants, a space for regional discussions was created to recognize a new paradigm for sustainable cocoa as a new standard, starting from one end of the value chain and upstreaming this new vision. Also, it was an opportunity to collect input for the co-construction of a Global Community of Knowledge and Practice for a Sustainable Cocoa.

The goal of this session was to facilitate access among key stakeholders in the sustainable cocoa sector in search for alignment of effort and provide space for engaged partnerships (e.g. matchmaking between initiatives and potential partners/funders).

The last session of the Program closed 10 months of working together, by reviewing all our sessions together, we will make time to reflect. It gave space for landing and group reflection, to measure how much of our own set goals were accomplished and formalize our engagement going forward.

GOAL

The main purpose of the working workshops was to harvest the feedback from the participants in terms of technical and financial aspects in the guide. The workshops also served to consolidate the Global Community of Knowledge and Practice for a Sustainable Cocoa through the co-creation exercise.
